Front cover of my 2011 Art Journal - Thought I would give this another go.  I like to play and this is one of my favorite ways to doodle around.  8x10 Watercolor, pen and ink, permanent marker, and I will introduce some collage too.  I painted every page of the journal without anything in mind and have started drawing whatever comes to mind as I view each pg.

Back cover - I dripped some rubbing alcohol into my orange paint and they looked like stars to me.  Hence.....

I made the journal with one huge sheet of watercolor paper.  22x30.  and cut it up to 8x10 size with some fold out pages.  I just drew on this page with a fine tip marker right over the watercolor, my Transparent Fish lets the rainbow show through.

This page actually comes before the previous photo in my art journal.  I don't like how the watercolor turned out, but after drawing these organic shapes, I like how the painting underneath shows through, and this page is what inspired the Transparent Fish.
