There was this challenge... a long, long time ago... I'm almost finished with it. I have smoothed out her face and my husband says he likes seeing the brush strokes better. hmmmm..... I started her in March and next weekend I would like to finish her. I don't know what button I accidently pushed to get italics. (I am not trying to emphasize anything, really.) And now they are gone.......?

Hi Chris, it's coming along nicely .If I might make one suggestion? Whites of eyes are not usually white. Adding just a touch of blue helps make them more realistic. Of course if realism is not your thing , then fine. Thanks for always leaving such encouraging words. The past year has been a struggle, so it helped.

I like this painting, though I am a little confused at where the light source is. If its to the right as the background suggests then are the shadows on the neck right. Look at me photography head on talking about light sources, sorry. I do still love the painting though.
